Operational Risk

A risk arising from the normal operations of the enterprise. Some examlpes include:
- a sliced meat manufacturer may discover that slicing machines are not being cleaned properly and this might lead to tainted meat;

- risks arising from improperly maintained equipment that may disable a production plant;

- supply chain risks, product quality, and many other categories are found in operational risks.
